Butterfly House Renovation

The Butterfly House, located in Andes, NY, is a very unique project both in form and in process. Currently under construction through multiple phases, the owner wanted to take their time and complete the work thoughtfully and rigorously. We decided to remove an out-of-date addition, lift the house in the air, build out a lower story, and set the house back down to be renovated in full. The end result will be a fabulous nod to the existing structure and cascading landscape, as well as the adventurous DIY nature of the owner.
