working with an architect

I was internet-ing last night and came across a few articles on curbed that I found to be interesting.  The role of an architect seems elusive, but I believe it can be made very clear with the right conversation, quote, and contract.  I always strive to be absolutely transparent about the services I offer, and I attempt to anticipate and alleviate as many future problems as possible from the start of a building project.
